The 2026 NCAA baseball bracket is set. Let’s break it down.

UCLA got the No. 1 overall seed, as expected — the Bruins were the Big Ten regular season and tournament champs. They had multiple come-from-behind victories with Mullivai Levu as the late-inning hero at the Big Ten tournament, and Roch Cholowsky was named the Big Ten Player of the Year for the second straight year.
Georgia Tech is the No. 2 seed with an absolutely dangerous team. The Jackets also won both their conference titles, sweeping the ACC regular season and tournament championships. Multiple superstars lead this group with Drew Burress, Vahn Lackey, and Jarren Advincula.
⚾️ TOURNAMENT CENTRAL: Bracket, schedule, scores
Georgia comes in at No. 3, also winning both the SEC regular season and tournament crowns. Daniel Jackson continues to light it up, winning the SEC tournament MOP, in addition to his SEC triple crown and SEC Player of the Year honors. It's Georgia's first-ever SEC tournament championship in what was a special season for the Dawgs.
I have no arguments against the top 3 teams in the country. Auburn and UNC round out the top five. The Tigers got a favorable seeding. Three more SEC teams, Texas, Alabama and Florida, round out the top eight national seeds. As for the rest of the top 16 hosts:
Southern Miss, FSU, Oregon, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Kansas and West Virginia make up the rest of the regional hosts.
The committee cited that Mississippi State, Kansas and West Virginia came out on top of Arkansas in the conversation to host when comparing all the metrics.
The last four in were Liberty, Kentucky, Texas State and Troy, and the first four out were Mercer, Michigan, Pittsburgh and TCU. Kentucky notably made it in, in part because they went 15-9 against teams in the tournament.
As for some intriguing matchups...
In Lawrence, Kansas hosts Arkansas in its regional and could later match up with Georgia Tech in a super.
North Carolina hosts Tennessee and matches up with the Texas A&M regional, which holds Mason Edwards and USC.
After a strong Big Ten tournament showing, Oregon has Oregon State in its regional.
Jackson Flora at UCSB in Texas’ regional could make for an epic pitching matchup.
And Florida has Miami coming to Gainesville, among other great matchups.
This year has a super competitive bracket, and it all kicks off on Friday, May 29.
