DII men's basketball: 2025 selection show

INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Committee announced today the field of 64 teams that will compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship.

Twenty-three conferences have been awarded automatic qualification. The remaining 41 teams were selected at large by the committee.

Seven of the eight regional tournaments, consisting of eight teams each, will be played at on-campus sites March 15, 16 and 18 while one regional tournament also consisting of eight teams will be conducted March 14, 15 and 17. The eight regional champions will advance to the quarterfinals in conjunction with the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s Elite Eight. The quarterfinal, semifinal and championship games will be conducted at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana, March 25, 27 and 29. The Great Lakes Valley Conference and Evansville Regional Sports Commission will serve as host.

The quarterfinals and semifinals of the Division II Men’s Basketball Championship will be carried on ESPN+ while the final will be carried on CBS.

  • Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association: Virginia State

  • East Coast Conference: Daemen
  • Great American Conference: Harding
  • Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference: Northern Michigan
  • Great Lakes Valley Conference: Lincoln (Missouri)
  • Great Midwest Athletic Conference: Malone
  • Great Northwest Athletic Conference: Seattle Pacific
  • Gulf South Conference: Alabama Huntsville
  • Lone Star Conference: Dallas Baptist
  • Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association: Fort Hays State
  • Mountain East Conference: Fairmont State
  • Northeast-10 Conference: Southern New Hampshire
  • Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference: Minnesota State Moorhead
  • Pacific West Conference: Point Loma
  • Peach Belt Conference: USC Aiken
  • Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference: Gannon
  • Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference: Colorado School of Mines
  • South Atlantic Conference: Lenoir-Rhyne
  • Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference: Savannah State
  • Sunshine State Conference: Nova Southeastern

Minnesota State defeated Nova Southeastern, 88-85 to win the 2024 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship in Evansville, Indiana.
